Shake off the lockdown blues with creative workshops that are guaranteed to get your artistic juices flowing. There’s a Creation workshop for every skill level and interest, led by expert instructors. Whether you’re looking to paint, sketch, create a traditional hand drum, or learn how to draw animals and creatures from traditional Indigenous stories, there’s a workshop that is sure to inspire your creative side. Materials will be delivered to your door prior to the live workshop. Workshop videos are available to view at your convenience for the remainder of the month.


Most of our 2021 programming including expert-led workshop videos, live performances and cultural presentations, is available year-round for on-demand viewing. Supply lists, instruction sheets and other resources can be downloaded from individual event pages.

Guests are treated to memorable moments, as this interactive event offers a “hands-on” experience with amazing reptiles for enthusiasts. Traditional Inuit throat singing is a game or competition usually done with two women. There is a leader and a follower, the leader sets the rhythm, the pace and the sound, and the follower repeats the sound.

    Simon Brascoupé, Algonquin Artist and Curator

    Simon Brascoupé, Algonquin Artist and Curator will lead a live online class on painting the iconic Canada Goose. He will begin by telling two Canada Goose stories: Canada Geese classic flying pattern teaching and Nanabush and the Canada Geese. The artist will then teach participants how to draw Canada Goose and paint it using acrylic paints on canvas.
