Create spectacular flour tortillas and delicious fish tacos made with fresh Ontario Walleye sourced from an Indigenous supplier, paired with a Hominy Corn salsa with Chef Justine Deschenes.

Meal kits are available for 2 or 4 guests.

From the Kitigan Zibi community north of Ottawa, Chef Justine Deschenes was a runner up in the Summer Solstice Festival’s IndigiChef competition in 2019. She’s a graduate of Algonquin College’s Culinary Management program and runs a lunch spot in Maniwaki. When the pandemic forced her to close her shop, Chef Justine started hosting cooking classes online with the Maniwaki Native Friendship Centre. Within weeks, she was being featured on National news programs. Her approachable way of connecting people with food has seen hundreds of people watching her videos.
